The Greens proposed a motion calling on East Sussex County Council (ESCC) to support the Climate and Ecological Emergency Bill(CEE). This follows a u-turn by the Tories at the last minute, having said they would support the motion.
A last minute amendment torpedoes support for the CEE bill after a ‘climate fudge’ cake was delivered to ESCC Conservative councillors. They are accused of ‘barefaced political skullduggery’ after putting forward a last minute amendment to a motion on climate change legislation.
