Hastings Green Party is very pleased to announce Tracey Lord as the green candidate for conquest ward.

I am a retired primary school teacher and, until recently, enjoyed supply teaching in Hastings and St Leonards. I love living by the sea in this creative, friendly town.

However, I passionately believe that Hastings has been seriously let down by successive, recent local councils. Even within the constraints of inadequate funding from the national government, they should have done better and money was wasted.

I have been impressed by how Hasting’s Green Councillors have been willing to step up and show leadership after the recent collapse of the Labour council. Our current Green councillors have shown that they are determined to get things done for the benefit of or town and its residents.

I urge you to vote for me – with Greens on the council we can continue to address the challenges of sewage dumping, homelessness, housing security, litter and anti-social behaviour.

I have long been an active campaigner in the Green Party, both in London and here in Hastings. I believe that the Green Party is the only party that consistently works for social, environmental and economic justice, thinking beyond the outdated and self-interested policies of other political parties. It is also the only party that has any real understanding of “emergency” in the phrase “climate emergency.”
