Hastings Green Party is very pleased to announce Adelebatesgreencampaigner as the candidate in central st Leonards to hopefully sit alongside existing councillor Tony Collins

I am standing as the Green candidate for Central St Leonards because I want to be a part of positive social change in our local community and environment.

The Green Party’s values of building a society that benefits everyone is core to me, and I believe is key for the people of Hastings & St Leonards too.

I live in St Leonards.

I work in St Leonards.

I walk my puppy here. I use the bins and recycling, I travel on the buses, dodge the dog poo, I’m part of our local community centres and groups, and I (try to!) swim in the sea.

I also see the widening gap between the haves and have-nots, right on my doorstep.

Nationally, I have been increasingly despairing of service cuts that affect the most vulnerable; of decisions that put profit before people. I work in education, supporting schools and local authorities with disadvantaged young people. I see the very real front-line effects these decisions have.

This has galvanised me to do what I can to make positive change happen. In our current Green councillors I see hard work, common-sense thinking and a desire to collaborate with volunteers, community groups, residents and local businesses to improve our beautiful town.

With more of us elected we can make the right changes within the Council to put Hastings & St Leonards firmly back on the map as a vibrant historic & cultural destination.
