DULCIE REYNOLDS
HOLLINGTON
Hastings Green Party is very excited to announce Dulcie as the Hollington candidate.
I was born in St Leonards and it has been my home for over 40 years, working as a civil servant and now a postal worker.
The impact of local politics on our community has always interested me. I’ve volunteered for Surviving Christmas and The Snowflake Trust and believe that more can be done to combat homelessness, food and fuel poverty in our town. I would also like our older residents to have easier access to help they require: as a carer for an elderly parent myself, I know how difficult this can be.
The needless death and injury of people and animals every day on our roads is also something close to my heart. I fully support the ’20s plenty’ campaign (though in most areas this is already unofficially in use due to the volume of potholes! I am of course working hard to report these, along with blocked drains and broken kerbstones, to East Sussex County Council).
Hastings has such a vibrant cultural scene and it takes a huge amount of work to keep its numerous events running each year, not to mention the clean-up afterwards. Local Green Party councillors and campaigners, along with volunteer groups, are often to be found with their litter pickers removing debris from our streets and beach.
I love this town, and I would be privileged to listen to the concerns of Hollington’s residents and work with you to make improvements to their overall well-being and environment. Change is coming and I want that to benefit the people of Hollington. I strongly believe that the Green Party are the only ones who will listen to the needs of Hastings residents and act, bringing people together to improve the environment they live in.
