Hastings Green Party's sixty second survey

Hastings & Rye Green Party members carried out two 60-second surveys in late summer 2016. As a result we have identified the following issues as being of particular concern to residents:

  • Traffic speeding and anti-social parking,  especially in the High Street and Harold Road.
  • Protection of local green spaces.
  • Reducing and clearing litter, and improving the general appearance of the area.
  • Improving education and youth services.
  • Tackling local crime, particularly vandalism.
  • Food waste recycling (see below)

Other concerns included the reliability and affordability of local buses, and the poor state of roads and pavements in the area. Many residents also said they would like better information from the council regarding recycling and planning issues.

A big thank you to everyone who completed a survey. Your feedback is very helpful! If you have any local concerns that haven’t been highlighted in the survey, please let us know: secretary@hastings.greenparty.org.uk.
